Community Health Systems Registered Nurse - OB/GYN - FT in Augusta, Georgia
A Registered Nurse is responsible for delivery of patient care through the process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluattion. A Registered Nurse also initiates and/or participates in patient teaching, and guides/directs the activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing. A Registered Nurse takes into account patient acuity levels, ages, disabilities, and stages of development in the performance of his/her responsibilites.
Education: Graduate of an accredited College/School of Professional Nursing.
Experience: 1. Must have or gain a working knowledge of the care and management of the non-compromised newborn, the compromised newborn, and the intensely compromised newborn. NICU Level 11 experience preferred. 2. Must possess or gain the knowledge of respective clinical area to include all equipment used in NICU, infection control, regulatory requirements, universal precautions, and all other skills, including pharmacology and IV therapy, related to patient care delivery.
Licenses/Certificates: 1. Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia. Current BLS-American Heart Association Healthcare Provider or by end of orientation. NRP within 90 days of hire.
