Community Health Systems Inpatient Phlebotomist Night Shift 7 on / 7 0ff in Birmingham, Alabama


Draws and collects blood samples from patients, verifies records and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis. May prick finger to draw blood. May conduct interviews, take vital signs, and draw and test blood samples to screen donors at blood bank. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.



High school education or equivalent with basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and simple math. Phlebotomy training or experience required.

6 months to 1 year phlebotomy experience (or formal phlebotomy training) required


Basic Life Support (BLS) Required

ASCP or ASPT phlebotomy certification preferred.
