Community Health Systems PV Urgent Care Receptionist in Carlsbad, New Mexico
The receptionist holds an extremely vital position. Through the receptionist, either by phone or in person, the patient forms a lasting impression of the care and efficiency of all the staff (including the doctor) in the office. This position is essentially the voice of the office. The receptionist works under the supervision of the office supervisor and Physician and performs all clerical duties necessary.
BASIC KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
1.High School graduate or equivalent
2.Type minimum of 40 WPM
Previous data entry WPM
Individual must be attentive to detail and have good communications skills
Competency on 10-key
6.Knowledge of basic grammar, spelling and punctuation
Ability to operate computer, copy machine, fax machine and credit card machine.
Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instruction
1.Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
2.Ability to reach and stretch above and below shoulder level.
1.Physician office experience.
3.Knowledge of insurance, Medicare, Medicaid.
4.Knowledge of medical terminology.
5.Knowledge of CPT-4 and ICD 9- coding.
Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent with 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
