Description:

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for all patients and those exams that are performed in the Nuclear Medicine Department. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for the receipt, assaying and proper recording of all radioisotopes ordered by Gateway Medical Center. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for the daily calibration of all equipment used in daily operations of the Nuclear Medicine department. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served on his/her assigned unit as indicated.

Qualifications

Education / License / Certification:

  • Certificate and / or Associate Degree from an accredited Imaging Program

  • Certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board

  • BLS certification required

Experience / Skills:

  • Two years of applicable experience

  • Attention to detail and concentration

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
