Community Health Systems Monitor Tech / CNA / Unit Secretary, ICU, FT, Day Shift in Mooresville, North Carolina
Performs various direct patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assists patients in dressing or undressing, bathing, or eating. Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens or gathers vital signs but does not start or administer intravenous fluids. Aids physicians and nursing staff members with procedures if needed. Documents patient interactions as needed. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Examines heartbeat patterns on electrocardiograph monitors. Makes note of irregular rhythms and monitors changes in heartbeat. Strips are run and interpreted every shift at 0600 and 1800. Ensures that monitors are functioning properly. Maintains appropriate alarm limits.
Facilitates the smooth running of the nursing unit by performing a broad range of clerical duties: Transcribes and processes orders accurately, Assembles and maintains patient medical records in an orderly manner. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a registered nurse or manager.

High school grad or equivalent with a current listing as a CNAI with the NC Division of Facility Services with no substantiated findings required. Successful completion of arrhythmia course / test or equivelent EKG / Monitor Tech experience highly preferred. Current American Heart Association BCLS certification required
1 - 3 years previous CNA / Monitor Tech experience required.
