Summary: The Accounts Payable Clerk ensures all clerical andadministrative duties that are associated with the Finance and Accounts Payableteam are maintained in a timely manner. The position works closely with theAccounts Payable Coordinator regarding approval procedures, documentation, coding,and data entry.
Essential Dutiesand Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Receiving, opening anddisbursing incoming mail to the Department
Getting department approvalfor paying invoices
Inputting transactions intothe accounts payable system
Scanning documents asneeded for intercompany process
Matching documents prior tosubmitting for approval
Sorting and mailing checks
Keeping organized files foreasy retrieval and review
Investigating andresponding to accounts payable inquiries and statements, including fromfacility accounting departments related to intercompany payments.

Ability to defineproblems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
