Community Health Systems Registrar in Peru, Indiana
Registers patients and processes related paperwork. Duties include interviewing patients, preparing standard registration forms, and performing other admission or transfer related tasks. Operates Telecommunications System PBX switchboard which includes paging emergency codes and answering calls. May be expected to perform clerical and secretarial work. Provides positive customer service. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Reports to a supervisor and/or manager.
Requires previous customer services experience. PBX experience preferred. Knowledge of computers and other standard office equipment required. Ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute required. Medical office or hospital environment with collection or registration experience preferred. High school diploma preferred.
