Community Health Systems HVAC Mechanic Eng III in Petersburg, Virginia
Primary duties include preventive and corrective maintenance on refrigeration equipment, ventilation systems and heating / cooling systems, stand alone equipment, split a/c units, and using a Building Automation System (BAS) to monitor and control temperatures, humidity and air flows. Technician will replace all types of filters, maintain cooling towers, replace valves, and troubleshoot applicable systems. Technician will also perform other duties in and around the facility which may or may not include HVAC expertise to help other crafts to perform duty task. Level 1 Technician expected to develop BAS knowledge and some programming. Will interact with contractors on system operations.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Additional HVAC&R certification from trade schools and training in BAS is highly desired.
Experience: Experience in hospital HVAC&R maintenance for a mimniunm of 4 years preferred. Additional experience in refrigerant reclaiming, recycle and re-use is highly desired. Ability to understand and make changes to BAS is desireable. Control voltage and trouble shooting HVACR a must. Experience with Multi voltages 460, 277, 240,120 Equipment.
Licenses/Certificates: Universal Certification for Reclaiming Refrigeration required
