Community Health Systems Analyst I in Sarasota, Florida

Summary: To work with the Finance Team developingfinancial reports quickly, efficiently, and accurately. This involves learning multiple systems,multi-tasking, and prioritizing projects.

EssentialDuties and Responsibilities:

  • Understands andnavigate through various systems at the SSC, including but not limited to, DAR,Pulse, HMS, Business Objects, Crystal Reporting, Artiva.

  • Creating reports utilizing SQLDatabase, Excel, Macros, and AdHoc Tools.

  • Prepares daily,weekly, and monthly general and standard reporting, including productivity,metric performance, denial database, comparative reports, and accountreconciliations reports.

  • Responsible forverification of the accuracy of the data being reported.

  • Prepares reportsand organized multi-disciplinary team reports to focus on revenue cycleresolution and assist teams with productivity standards.

  • Ability to performall other duties as assigned or requested

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  1. Communication – communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing; utilize appropriate method/tool to communicate with other departments as necessary

  2. Interpersonal skills - able to work effectively with other employees and external parties

  3. Policies & Procedures - demonstrate knowledge and understanding of organizational policies, procedures and systems; ensure confidentiality of all patient accounts by following HIPAA guidelines

  4. Performance – maintain performance standards that ensure the department is operating at peak proficiency and that established goals are consistently being met

  5. Time management and organization - perform work under tight guidelines, must be detail oriented and well organized. Ability to prioritize and control workload.

  6. Demonstrated critical thinking, creativity, problem solving and decision-making skills

  7. Basic skills - able to perform basic mathematical calculations, balance and reconcile figures, punctuate properly, spell correctly and transcribe accurately

  8. Accounting or Computer Science experience, preferably in healthcare

  9. Knowledge of Revenue Cycle structure

Reasoning Ability:

· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

· To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software, Spreadsheet software and E-mail software with emphasis on Excel and VBA.

Education/Experience:

· Minimum Associate's degree (A. A.). In addition, Bachelor's degree (B.S. or B.A.) from four-year college or University and/or two to three years related experience.
