Community Health Systems Educator Clinical in St. Cloud, Florida

Description:

Designs and conducts educational programs for nursing staff. Coordinates orientation programs for new staff members, develops programs to keep existing staff up-to-date, and acts as general resource for nursing personnel. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Responsible for life support programs (Heart Code), development of clinical internship programs for clinical staff transitioning into higher levels of care, technical and skills training, and continuing education offerings. Participates in the educational process related to community health, patient, and team member learning opportunities. Work with surrounding nursing schools to facilitate nursing students clinicals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing, MSN or Masters in education field preferred. State of Florida registered nurse (RN) license, and at least 5 years of clinical experience with a minimum of 3 years as an Acute Care Registered. Learning Management System Administration experience preferred. Two years education experience preferred. BLS Instructor, ACLS Instructor, PALS instructor certifications. NRP Instructor preferred. National Specialty Certification in Nursing Professional Development, Certified Nurse Educator, or area of clinical practice required within 12 months of hire.
