Community Health Systems Engineer I-PRN in Starke, Florida
Independently performs corrective and preventive maintenance on plumbing, electrical,
mechanical, and HVAC systems throughout the hospital. Accomplishes carpentry and painting as needed. Assists as required in other tasks related to maintenance and repair. Works to complete all jobs safely andefficiently. Sets up and performs all work independently. Serves as duty mechanic. Functions as on callduty mechanic for after hours, weekends and holidays. Functions in a security capacity as needed. Initiates, grades and participates in drills and training. Uses menu driven computer programs to enter andretrieve data. Ensures all documentation for man hours and maintenance actions are recorded accurately. Ensures compliance with all regulatory agency guidelines in work and in documentation. Maintains closeworking relationship with vendors as well as internal and external customers.
High School Diploma or equivalent. Able to read and comprehend drawings / blue prints for electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Five years experience as a maintenance mechanic, preferably in a hospital. Ability to demonstrate some proficiency in all of the following areas: Air conditioning / refrigeration, carpentry, painting, mechanical maintenance, electrical work, and plumbing. Prefer licensing in at least one area as applicable. Be knowledgeable in appropriate building codes and standards in effect and preferably knowledgeable in hospital related codes.
