Community Health Systems SEASONAL RN CARDIAC TELEMETRY UNIT/NIGHT SHIFT in Venice, Florida
RN is responsible for coordinating and overseeing care delivered with an interdisciplinary approach, utilizing the nursing process which includes assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Directs and provides patient teaching activities. Maintains standards of professional nursing practice. Documentation of records is accurate, complete and complies with the policy and procedures. Participates in efforts to improve patient care through education, Quality and Safety initiatives and support of Venice Regional Bayfront Health nursing Strategic Plan (Healthy Work Environment, clinical excellence, optimal patient outcomes). Provides leadership, direction and guidance to ancillary staff in the care of patients. Performs other duties as assigned.
Previous experience preferred as a staff nurse in acute care clinical setting. Able to work under stressful conditions. Good oral and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate to patients, hospital staff and visitors in a concerned and caring way, demonstrating the Standards of Excellence. Able to maintain confidentiality of information. Willingness to accept responsibility. Ability to direct ancillary staff and organize work assignments. Leadership skills essential to the position.
RN graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Currently licensed to practice nursing in the State of Florida. BLS (American Heart Association) required. ACLS (American Heart Association) required for all RNs in the Critical Needs Units (ED, ICU, CVICU, CCU, CV Step Down, PACU, Outpatient Surgery, Cath Lab, Cardiac Rehab and Specials). ACLS (AHA) preferred for Cardiac Telemetry Unit. For ED and Outpatient Surgery RNs, PALS certification (American Heart Association) required.
As a member of Venice Regional Bayfront Health Seasonal Staff, you agree to the following:
All Seasonal Staff must be available to work a minimum of three (3) shifts, or 36 hours per week.
All Seasonal Staff must work every other weekend during the assignment. Individuals who call-off on a weekend must make up their weekend commitment the following weekend.
All Seasonal Staff acknowledges and agrees that their work schedules and assignments will be at the sole discretion of Nursing Administration.

R.N. Graduate from a School of Nursing
Current, active Florida Nursing License
BLS / ACLS (American Heart Association) required
- 2 years previous RN experience preferred
