Community Health Systems Medical Assistant - Trauma Services - 1.0 FT D/R in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania


Administers nursing care in an outpatient facility or clinic under the supervision of a registered nurse. Participates in the delivery and evaluation of patient care. Ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor. Additional job duties to include administrative work such as but not limited to filing, scheduling and other office management needs as assigned.


Certified medical assistant required

Clinical expertise, teaching/instructing,clerical accuracy, communication skills, listening abilities, independentthinking/sound judgment; ability to deal with stress, able to react toemergency and crisis situations, committed to quality of care.

BLS required must becompleted prior to the end of orientation period
