Community Health Systems SSC Host Unbilled and Billing Support Manager in Antioch, Tennessee

Community Health Systems (CHS) Shared Services Center (SSC) Nashville, is recruiting for a Host Unbilled and Billing Support Manager. This individual is primarily responsible for the management and supervision of the Host Bill Error Selection Reports with emphasis on reducing Host Unbilled. In addition, ensuring that insurance billing activities are successfully completed within department guidelines and federal and state regulatory requirements. The SSC Billing Manager is also responsible for implementing and monitoring SSC Billing goals and objectives under the administrative direction of the SSC Director of Billing, SSC COO and VP.

This position supports revenue cycle operations on behalf of the SSC assigned facilities (hospitals). The affiliated hospitals viability is based upon the SSC's ability to collect revenues for those services. In over 60 of the markets served, CHS affiliated hospitals are the sole provider of healthcare services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned as necessary by Director of Billing).

•Manage assigned staff and manages workload and performance.

•Host Unbilled – review and drive the communications to facility to reduce Host unbilled.

•Unbilled Calls - Responsible for handling Host Unbilled escalation.

•Communications - Responsible for having emails distributed to facilities escalating Host Unbilled.

•Analyzes and monitors revenue cycle and accounts receivable metrics focusing on Host Unbilled and Billed Claim metrics.

•Identify opportunities to minimize the daily payer rejections and manage team members.

•Manages the late charge team members an communicates with facilities to reduce unbilled.

•Monitors and works with facilities on Readmission report .

•Identify, resolve, and report issues impacting performance objectives.

•Responsible for oversight of billing technology and development of new programming and edit requests to improved processes and gain efficiencies.

•Ensures all Host unbilled reports are worked daily.

•Tracks and communicates unbilled delays and issues for management resolution.

•Manage SSI Coordinator to all edits requests are handle appropriately and consistently across facilities.

•Monitor to ensure all claims download into SSI on a daily basis.

•Serves as SSC contact for hospital stakeholders and participates in all denials, compliance, and other revenue cycle monthly meetings

•Performs other duties as directed by the SSC Billing Director.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of PFS processes from scheduling through agency placement and final account disposition.

• Demonstrated successful billing and claims leadership experience.

• Possess strong analytical skills.

• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.

• Must be able to work independently in a manner to achieve goals, objectives and productivity requirements.

Computer Skills:

• Hospital patient accounting and billing systems preferred.

• Previous experience with HMS, SSI billing or any healthcare billing systems.

• Any experience with Artiva or related healthcare software tools.

• Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).

Education/Experience:

High School Graduate minimum education requirement, Bachelor's degree Preferred.

Several years leadership experience in hospital billing and claims preferably in a Central Business Office environment.
