Community Health Systems CEO/Chief Executive Officer/Barstow Community Hospital/ Barstow, CA in Barstow, California
As a member of the Hospital's senior management team, theChief Executive Officer (CEO) will participate in operational decision-makingprocesses necessary for the successful attainment of the hospital's mission inaddition to maintaining an awareness of changes in healthcare matters thatcould have an impact on the success of the hospital.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works with system management to develop and implementpolicies and procedures, short- and long-range goals, objectives and plans.
Provide leadership to hospital managers, directors andofficers that will enroll support, create ownership of goals and encourageactively participate in decisions that impact the hospital.
Develop and maintain positive relations with the communitythat the hospital is located as well as the community leaders.
Plans and directs all aspects of the organizations policies,objectives and initiatives.
Responsible for the short and long term profitability of thefacility.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to grow hospital revenue to meet budgetary goals andobjectives.
Ability to meet regulatory and compliance approvals andquality accreditations.
Ability to lead and direct the work of others.
Responsible for the administrative aspects of leading thedepartment/ team to include budgeting, time approvals, staff evaluations andexpense approvals.
WORK EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Master s degree in hospital administration and / or businessadministration preferred.
A minimum of 5 or more years of demonstrated successfulleadership in a healthcare facility, which includes but is not limited to:building relationships with board members, physicians, hospital employees andcommunity desired.
May be required.
