Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Guide the patient through the imaging process safely and comfortably

  • Arranges patients for radiological examinations

  • Produces radiographs (x-rays) to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems

  • Prevents patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation

  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job

  • Willingness to cross-train in all areas of the clinic, learn phlebotomy and lab

  • Work under immediate supervision

  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required

  • Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager

Qualifications

Key qualifications to beconsidered for this include:

  • Requires an associate'sdegree from an accredited program and registration as a technologist by theA.R.R.T.

  • Current American Heartassociation BLS certification
