Are you pursuing anursing degree and want to gain real life experience in a hospital settingwhile you pursue your schooling? If so, our RN Internprogram may be a great fit for you. Our highly flexible internprogram is designed to provide a mutual benefit and help grow your confidenceand competence.
If selected for ourintern program, you will be committing to work two 12-hour shifts/month as aPatient Care Assistant floating wherever we have a need.
Two shifts are requiredper month but you are welcome to pick up as many hours as you desire and thatwork with your schedule.
In exchange for this twoshifts/month commitment, you will have the opportunity during your final yearof schooling to select the unit of your choice where you will work one 8 hourshift per month shadowing an RN.
You may select the sameunit each month or you can use this opportunity to gain experience in multipleunits in which you have interest.
Key responsibilities ofthis role include:
Perform a variety ofpatient care activities and related services necessary in caring for personalneeds and comfort of patients.
Assist with personalhygiene, take vital signs and change bed linens.
May also serve andcollect food trays, providing for between-meal nourishment, and cleaning,sterilizing, storing and preparing other supplies.
Key qualifications to beconsidered for this include:
Requires a high schooldiploma or GED
Currently enrolled inADN or BSN nursing program at an accredited university
Current American HeartAssociation BLS certification
Completed the fundamentalsof nursing program
