Are you pursuing a nursing degree andwant to gain real life experience in a hospital setting while you pursue yourschooling? If so, our RN Intern program may be agreat fit for you. Our highly flexible intern program is designed toprovide a mutual benefit and help grow your confidence and competence.

  • If selected for our intern program, you will be committingto work two 12-hour shifts/month as a Patient Care Assistant floating whereverwe have a need.

  • Two shifts are required per month but you arewelcome to pick up as many hours as you desire and that work with yourschedule.

  • In exchange for this two shifts/month commitment, youwill have the opportunity during your final year of schooling to select theunit of your choice where you will work one 8 hour shift per month shadowingan RN.

  • You may select the same unit each month or you can usethis opportunity to gain experience in multiple units in which you haveinterest.

Keyresponsibilities of this role include:

  • Perform a variety of patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for personal needs and comfort of patients.

  • Assist with personalhygiene, take vital signs and change bed linens.

  • May also serve and collect food trays, providing for between-mealnourishment, and cleaning, sterilizing, storing and preparing othersupplies.

Qualifications

Key qualifications to beconsidered for this include:

  • Requires a high schooldiploma or GED

  • Currently enrolled in ADN or BSN nursing program at an accredited university

  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification

  • Completed the fundamentals of nursing program
