Administers nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Participates in the implementation and evaluation of patient care. Ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor.
This position requires Alabama Board of Nursing (ABN) licensure - evidence of the individual's ABN (State) license is acceptable to demonstrate their academic achievement.

Work requires one to three months orientation to acquire necessary familiarity with department and unit policies and procedures. Must be able to use computer and various patient care equipment.
Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse from State ofAlabama.
