Community Health Systems Systems Analyst in Bluefield, West Virginia
Installs new software releases and system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches, and resolves software related problems. Performs system backups and recovery. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a project leader or manager.
Minimum of an Associate degree in Computer Science or related field. Degree can be waived with three or more years experience in a similar technical work environment. Rotates on call duties.
Minimum of two (2) years experience in information technology, of which at least one (1) year must be in a healthcare facility. Must be able to install, troubleshoot, and maintain various pieces of hardware. Must be able to troubleshoot network and personal computer problems on various platforms. Must possess typing skills and effective organizational skills to coordinate and prioritize work assignments; good communication skills, both oral and written; and the ability to work with others.
CompTIA A or MCP preferred.
