Community Health Systems Cardiopulmonary Director in Brownwood, Texas
The Cardiopulmonary Director will provide leadership and direction for both the Respiratory Therapy and Heart Center departments. He/she will comply with and supports department and hospital mission statement. The director also produces a high level of quality care with concern for efficiency, cost effectiveness, and communication. Maintains department equipment ready for use and demonstrates satisfactory understanding of use of all equipment. Responsible for staffing and personnel within departments.
Education: Graduation from a Respiratory Care program or diploma in nursing required.
Experience: Critical care experience preferred. If RN licensed, must have previous cardiac catheterization lab and/or cardiac nursing experience. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of hospital staff. Good leadership and supervisory qualities to motivate and accomplish departmental goals. Ability to assist in developing and maintaining departmental records, policies and procedures. A basic computer knowledge expected.
Licenses/Certificates : TDH State of Texas License in Respiratory Therapy and National Board Respiratory Care CRT or RRT Certification; or licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas. Current BLS and ACLS required.
