Position Overview

We have an opportunity available for an OccupationalTherapist to join our team! This is a full time position in an ortho/neurooutpatient and inpatient acute setting.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates patient upon physician order to determine need for occupational therapy intervention

  • Plans and conducts individualized occupational therapyprograms to help patients develop, regain, or maintain their ability to performdaily activities

  • Develops realistic goals with patient input and explains treatment plan to the patient

  • Teaches patients skills/techniques and how to useadaptive equipment for participating in activities

  • Communicates effectively with physician and other members or the rehab team regarding treatment plan and patient response to the plan

  • Evaluates, records and reports on patient progress for review by other members of the rehab team

  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy required

  • Current State of Texas Occupational Therapist License

  • Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) a plus

  • American Heart Association (AHA) approved Basic LifeSupport (BLS) certification

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience working inOutpatient Ortho/Neuro setting required

  • Lymphedema experience a plus

  • Must be self-motivated and willing to put the work tohelp grow our outpatient OT business
