Community Health Systems Sleep Lab Tech in Clarksville, Tennessee
The Polysomnography Technologist will be responsible for performing sleep studies as described in the policy and procedure manual. The Polysomnography Technologist is responsible for the set-up, administration, post procedure functions of all manner of sleep diagnostic procedures, patient and family education and must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served on his/her assigned unit as indicated in the scope of position. Individuals will be neat and professional at all times during the performance of their duties.
Education / License / Certification:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Licensed in state of Tennessee as a Polysomnographer
Graduate of an approved school of Polysomnography
Registered (RPSGT) by Board of Registered Polysomnography Technologists
Current BLS required
Experience / Skills:
Prior experience as Polysomnographer, one year experience preferred.
Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to address issues in tactful and timely manner to patients, families and hospital personnel
Attention to detail and concentration
Ability to work in fast-paced, ever-changing environment
