Community Health Systems Patient Advocate in Cleveland, Tennessee
Acts as a liaison between patients, patients' relatives, and the healthcare organization. Communicates patients' questions, complaints, problems and concerns to appropriate staff members. Explains policies and procedures to patients and refers them to the proper services. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
Require 2-4 years of experience in an acute care setting. Must be familiar with a variety of healthcare concepts, practices, and procedures. Must have evidence of previous healthcare customer service activities.
