Community Health Systems RN - OR - Part-Time in Crystal River, Florida
Responsible for coordinating and directing the multidisciplinary activities of technical staff during surgery in order to provide the highest standard of care for the patient undergoing surgery. Interacts and collaborates with staff, physicians, and patients regarding our programs for the reduction of Hospital Acquired Conditions (HACs) and Hospital Acquired Infections (HAIs). Actively engages in all initiatives to improve patient satisfaction results. Functions as circulating nurse and scrub nurse intraoperatively. Performs nursing techniques for the comfort and well being of the patient. Utilizes the nursing process to formulate a plan of care and complies with the mission and policies of the hospital. Assists anesthesiologists and surgeons as necessary. Collaborate with other disciplines in order to facilitate patient care. Required to work flexible hours and be on call nights, weekends and holidays.

Performs duties and conducts interpersonal relationships in a manner designated to project a positive image of the department and the hospital. Works with supervisor/manager and other members of unit or department to promote a harmonious work environment. Ensures that all contacts with patients, the public, physicians and other hospital personnel are carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate manner. Answers telephone in a prompt and courteous manner. Provides assistance, explains procedures and exhibits concern, as appropriate, to callers or in face-to-face situations. Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of the hospital s Standards of Conduct and of our external and internal customers. Works with customers to identify problem areas and recommend solutions.
Minimum Education: Associate/Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Nursing
Preferred Experience: One (1) year perioperative nursing experience
Minimum Certification/Registration: Current Florida RN License; BLS certification and ACLS certification.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : Excellent physical assessment and critical thinking skills. Effective oral and written communication skills in the English language. Ability to perform effectively in fast paced, stressful environment.
