Community Health Systems Receptionist - Orthopedic Clinic in Durant, Oklahoma

Description:

The Receptionist/Scheduler shall be responsible for providing clerical and patient related support in the functional areas of record keeping, scheduling, utilizing knowledge of office policy and procedure. Verifies patient demographics, completes patient records, files and prepares patient chart. Verifies physician orders and consults patient record as appropriate. Enters and schedules referral appointments when required. Prepares patients for exam when requested. Balances patient payments and maintains paper billing on a daily basis. Maintains proper office supplies. Coordinates reports and face sheets for billing.

Qualifications

Education: High School Graduate or GED certificate required. Ability to speak, read, and write English is required.

Experience: Two years of experience in a physicians practice or medically related environment preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Must have computer and word processing experience along with proficiency in typing.
