Under the immediate direction of the Lutheran Air-Lutheran Ground Executive Director/VP, is responsible for day-to-day patient care operations and first line supervision of staff. Provides direct patient care according to unit needs.

Qualifications

Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse; current CPR (BLS HCP) and ACLS. Within 1 year of hire, completion of Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or equivalent certification and additional licensure as Registered Nurse.

OR

Current Indiana State Licensure as a Paramedic; current CPR (BLS HCP) and ACLS. Within 1 year of hire, completion of Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or equivalent certification and additional state licensure as Para medic (National Registry Certification required for additional state license.) Within 2 years of hire, Paramedic certification (FP-C, CCP-C, or approved equivalent.)

AND

Current vehicle driver's license. Must meet present hospital insurance carrier's minimum requirements acceptable under the insurability guidelines related to driving hospital-owned vehicles.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years critical care or emergency unit nurse experience preferred. Quality of previous experience, prior professional or technical experience with relative scope, service, and similar environment, will be considered. OR Minimum of 5 years Paramedic experience in busy 911 service. Quality of previous experience, prior professional or technical experience with relative scope, service, and similar environment will be considered.
