Community Health Systems RN (Supervisor) Team Coordinator- ICU (Full-time, 32 hrs per wk.) in Fort Wayne, Indiana

Description:

Under the immediate supervision of the ICU Team Specialist or other designated management, performs first line management of operations within the ICU inpatient care units. Includes decisions concerning nursing practices, planning, staffing, disciplining, evaluation, problem solving as well as any other management tasks as assigned. Provides direct patient care according to unit needs.

Qualifications

Licensure/Certification:

Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse;

· BCLS within 30 days of hire

· Must complete NIMS modules ICS-100 and ICS-200 within 30 days of hire

· ACLS within 90 days of hire

· AACN EKG within 90 days of hire

· TB Consortium certification within 180 days of hire

· NIH Stroke Scale within 180 days of hire

· Intermediate Core Nursing class within 6 months of hire

· NICHE Certification within 1 year of hire

· Advanced Core Nursing class within 1 year of hire

· CPI within 1 year of hire

Experience: Minimum of two years in ICU clinical nursing experience in a hospital setting which

included charge nurse or equivalent responsibilities.

Education: Registered Nursing degree from accredited program

Other:

Demonstrates through working knowledge of multidisciplinary care planning, as wellas nursing procedures, equipment utilized and strong knowledge of applicableregulations of the Medical/Pediatric populations.

Requires strong working knowledge of the normal growth, development, related

behaviors, needs, comfort, and range of treatment appropriate to the age and

diagnosis of patient served in order to support the provision of an individualized multidisciplinary plan of care.

Requires strong analytical and organizational skills to prepare and maintain various documentation/reports, supervise activities of staff and ensure compliance withhospital policies and procedures.

Requires group cohesion and communication skills promoting teamwork and groupachievement.

Demonstrates well developed interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) necessary to interact effectively with all internal and external customers.
