Community Health Systems RN, Team Coordinator (Supervisor), EMS Liaison Educator- Emergency Services(Full-time, 40 hrs. per wk.) in Fort Wayne, Indiana
Under the immediate supervision of the Emergency Services Team Leader and other designated management, performs first line management of operations within the Emergency Services outpatient care department. Includes decisions concerning nursing practices, planning, staffing disciplining, evaluation, problem solving as well as any other management tasks as assigned. Provides direct patient care according to unit needs.
Serves as a liaison and fosters a relationship between local and regional EMS providers, EMS personnel, emergency medical facilities personnel, and Dupont Hospital. Represents Dupont Hospital at local and regional EMS meetings and conferences. Conducts hospital satisfaction surveys with EMS providers. Provides EMS educational offerings. Completes EMS chart audits and reviews.
Minimal Acceptable Job Qualifications
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse;
· BCLS within 30 days of hire
· ACLS within 90 days of hire
· PALS within 90 days of hire
· EKG within 90 days of hire
· CPI within 90 days of hire
· NIMS within 30 days of hire
· BAT/UDS within 180 days of hire
· TB Consortium within 180 days of hire
Must complete NIMS modules ICS-100 and ICS-200 within 60 days of hire.
Experience: Minimum of two years in clinical nursing experience in a hospital setting which included charge nurse or equivalent responsibilities.
Education: Registered Nursing degree from accredited program
Other: Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of interdisciplinary planning, as well asnursing practice procedures, equipment utilized and in-depth knowledge of applicableregulations (refer to unit specific knowledge guidelines for those applicable to area ofassignment.)
Requires strong working knowledge of the normal growth, development, related
behaviors, needs, comfort, and range of treatment appropriate to the age and
diagnosis of patient served in order to support the provision of an individualized
multidisciplinary plan of care.
Age of patient served per area assignment:
Emergency - pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric
Requires strong analytical and organizational skills to prepare and maintain various documentation/reports, supervise activities of staff and ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
Requires group cohesion and communication skills promoting teamwork and groupachievement.
Demonstrates well developed interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal andwritten) necessary to interact effectively with all internal and external customers.
