CHSPSC, LLC seeks a Charge Specialist for its Franklin, TN, headquarters Patient Financial Services team.

PRIMARY GOALS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will be responsible for adhering to the established processes and procedures throughout the organization that maintain charging integrity and compliance. This position will be responsible for maintaining current knowledge of the various regulatory agency guidelines and requirements are met and that charges are captured accurately and timely

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial Charge Audits

Implementing and tracking action plans needed for noncompliance of CHS standard charge capture practices

Assist Clinical staff with charge capture changes that are to be implemented

Work closely with the CHS charge master team on charging policy and procedures, education to the facilities and appropriate revenue by department.

Provide support to all facilities on charge questions, training and education and charge reconciliation and capture.

Work with the CHS Divisions on any charge, revenue issues or concerns to audit, investigate to resolve the root cause of each issue.

Capture and report finding in an Excel spreadsheet or Access database

Provide feedback and assist during the corrective action process

Monthly summary to CHS Leadership

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, coding and Medicare regulations

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to effectively communicate to groups

Work independently and meet deadlines

Basic knowledge of the revenue cycle for the purpose of communicating corrective action

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access and Powerpoint)

WORK EXPERIENCE

3-5 years experience of Revenue Cycle
