CHSPSC, LLC seeks an Manager, Physician Practice Operations for its Franklin, TN, headquarters Physician Practice Services team.

Job Description Summary:

Responsible for all tasks related to the implementation, ongoing operation, and optimization of the ambulatory medical records (AMR) systems for Division IV. Manage the Meaningful Use and PQRS projects to assure greatest benefit to our patients and attestation at the earliest, reasonable time frame. This individual will act as a liaison between the clinics, the division and the AMR vendors and will travel to the various practice locations as needed (approximately 40 – 50%). Provide assistance to the Division Directors of physician practice operations in order to achieve division objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and daily support for all markets utilizing AthenaClinicals including trouble-shooting issues reported by the practices, providing training to local Super-Users, conducting bi-monthly Super-User meetings, communicating new release features, and pursuing opportunities for optimization in order to increase provider productivity.

  • Serve as subject matter expert and liaison between CHS IT support for all markets utilizing Allscripts Enterprise including escalating issues reported by the practices, communicating new release features, and pursuing opportunities for optimization in order to increase provider productivity.

  • Provide ongoing education and training to practice providers and staff including the development of training materials and tools to ensure successful AMR adoption and effective utilization.

  • Work collaboratively with the providers and CHS HIIM to ensure the AMR clinical content supports compliance with quality measures and Meaningful Use objectives.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Medicare and Medicaid Meaningful Use including monitoring attestation compliance by provider and reporting progress and issues up and down within Division Management.

  • Coordinate with CHS Physician Quality Reporting to ensure all providers are meeting the required PQRS measures in order to avoid reimbursement penalties.

  • Coordinate with PPSI and others to successfully set-up and implement athenaCommunicator and athenaCollector in new practices.

  • Other duties as assigned by Division Management

Education/Experience:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience in a physician practice setting and associated technical expertise with an electronic medical record system

  • Understanding of physician clinic operations and medical terminology

  • Proven ability to work independently to achieve goals on projects as part of a larger team

  • Ability to identify problems and see them through to resolution

  • Excellent organizational skills, analytic ability and a strong attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Efficient with Microsoft Office products (including Word, Excel, and Power Point)
