Community Health Systems Senior Director, HIM in Franklin, Tennessee

CHSPSC, LLC seeks a Senior Director, HIM for its Franklin, TN, headquarters HIM team.
The Senior Director of Health Informatics and Information Management is responsible for oversight of the HIIMD s assisting facilities with the implementation of the following systems:
•HMS Patient Accounting and Clinicals
•Dictation systems including voice recognition
•Document Imaging- centralized and decentralized
•Release of Information
•Health Information Exchange
Oversees the HIIMD s providing support to HIM Departments, physicians, and end users for HIM specific system installations in accordance with the HIM Department standards and model specifications. Travel requirements vary from 0 – 50.
Directly manage HIIMD s providing remote and “on the ground support for the HIM facility staff for the following duties to include but not limited to:
•Ensure the project plan tasks are followed and completed on time
•Provides input and direction in the strategic design of the systems
•Communication with the facility HIM Directors, C-level, Medical Staff, and IT Departments
•Oversight of data capture and validation
•Develops and implements policies and procedures
•Ensures testing is completed and outcomes meet test script objectives
•Oversight of training activities – hospital and corporate end users and super users
•Provides implementation and post-implementation support
•Ensures corporate standards are met and followed through all phases of the project as pertinent
•Develop audit criteria to assess gaps
•Oversight of the corporate wide Forms Management Program
•Escalates to the VP HIIM when objectives are not being met on projects
•Provides support for systems once implemented to include completion of PSRs, PIRs, change requests, etc.
•Supports system upgrades
•Performs other duties as assigned
•Oversight of post go-live assessments
•Ensuring Key Performance Indicators for the department as well as assigned goals are achieved
•Maintenance of the Corporate HIIM Business Continuity Plan
•Maintain positive and accountable vendor relationships
Supervises Health Information and Informatics Management Directors
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
•Certification as an RHIA required
•Master s degree preferred
•Minimum of seven to ten years acute care management experience in HIM
•Prefer consulting experience
•Experience with small to large hospitals with multi-facility experience desired
•Experience in project management
•Preferred knowledge of information systems and healthcare applications in addition to database applications and report writing software
•Must possess critical thinking skills
•Must possess the ability to communicate to all levels of the facility including staff, physicians, and the C level administration
•Must possess the ability to communicate to all levels at Corporate including Division staff.
•Must possess leadership skills
To perform the job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software, Spreadsheet software, and Database software.
•Must be knowledgeable of information systems and healthcare applications in addition to database applications and report writing software
•Preferred experience with electronic record systems: specifically McKesson Horizon Patient Folder, Cerner Millennium and CPDI, Healthgrid, Document Imaging software, EMPI software and Patient Portal applications and Medicity
