CHSPSC, LLC seeks a Senior Wintel Engineer for its Franklin, TN, headquarters Infrastructure team.
Perform engineering tasks related to VMWare, Windows andLinux at a senior level. Create engineering level documentation consumable bysystem administration, operations and support staff. Mentor junior staff onpolicy and procedure requirements. Documentation and perform requirementsinclude:
·Adhering to defined standards
·Adhering to required policies and procedures(CRQ, INC, problem management, project management etc.)
·Proposing new or replacement standards
·Engaging other teams to peer review proposedchanges to standards
·Communicating documentation and policies tomanagement
·Developing build documentation for pilot anddeployment of new systems using tools such as Visio, Word, Excel, PowerShelletc.
Perform any other tasks as required by management
Minimum 7 years of experience working within an ITorganization, enterprise level experience is required. Firm understanding of ITterms and concepts with ability to read vendor documentation and performrelated duties accurately. Detailed experience with VMWare, Windows and Linuxservers in an administration, operations and support role. Must be able tocreate engineering level documentation representing proposed, pilot, andas-built systems. Experience with physical hardware from 2 or more vendors suchas IBM, HP, Dell, Cisco(UCS), Nutanix required. Candidate will beself-motivated, willing to learn, capable of following directions andcreatively working through challenges. Candidate will be expected to mentorothers and provide skills transfer sessions. Candidate will be expected tocreate documentation, scripts and setup automated tasks using a variety ofmethods. This position will be on the Platform Engineering team performingvarious systems administrative, operational and support duties as assigned.
