Community Health Systems Vice President HIM in Franklin, Tennessee

CHSPSC, LLC seeks a Vice President HIM for its Franklin, TN, headquarters HIM team.
The Vice President of Health Informatics & Information Management provides overall strategic, financial and operational management and leadership for the Health Informatics & Information Management function at CHS. This position is responsible for overseeing the planning, organizing and execution of services provided to the client community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•Provides oversight of all HIIM functions including health records, transcription, coding, and abstracting, release of information, and computer applications, including health informatics as it relates to health information management functions previously described.
•Establishes and actively maintains and manages relationships with customers and vendors to ensure a service oriented, high quality operational and support environment for all systems and departments
•Provides contract management for the particular business line
•Reviews, analyzses and manages departmental projects to ensure proper completion according to time schedules and budgets developed in conjunction with the client
•Coordinates with client departments the development of account level budgets including both capital and operating to support their strategic and business objectives
•Coordinates with clients and service line management the evaluation of system requirements, vendor evaluation and system selections, and negotiation of contracts to achieve business objectives
•Leads departmental policy development
•Provides leadership to business line employees by practicing fair and consistent treatment while enforcing staff compliance with corporate policies.

Certificates and Licenses:
•Registered Health Information Administrator
•Directors and Sr. Directors
•Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Bachelor s degree in Health Information; Master's degree preferred.
•Management or Health Services Administration or related field
•Eight Ten plus years experience in health information management or related field
•Multi-hospital experience desirable
•Broad knowledge of healthcare business operations
