The Industrial Medicine Medical Assistant / phlebotomy is a skilled professional that collects urine, hair, breath, and blood samples for the purpose of drug screening and phlebotomy. These procedures are performed for Occupational Health clients.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Display ability to read and understand written data. Display good verbal communication skills. Data entry skills required. Medical background preferred including phlebotomy, drug screening, and document handling.
Experience: Computer and telephone skills required. Able to demonstrate effective operation of the department specific equipment (breath Alcohol collection device). Verbalize understanding of filing systems, document organization and handling. Data
Licenses/Certificates: Certificate or proof of a program of instruction in phlebotomy and administering injections. Certified Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT) and Certified Professional Collector (CPC DATIA preferred) If not currently certified in drug testing, must become certified within 45 days of hire. American Heart Association BLS card within 90 days of hire.
