Community Health Systems Mechanic II - Engineering Department - First Hospital - 1.0 E/W in Kingston, Pennsylvania


TheMechanic II performs building and grounds inspection and security, assist inperforming maintenance and repair programs including P.M. involving tools,machines, electrical/mechanical devices, H.V.A.C., motors, generators,refrigeration, etc. The Mechanic is part of the code response team tosupport patient care to provide a safe and secure atmosphere for patients,visitors and employees, and protect hospital buildings, assets, and premises asassigned. The Mechanic reports directly to the Lead Mechanic.


Technical expertise, manual dexterity, mechanicalability. The ability to react to crises and emergency situations, soundjudgment/independent thinking, and comprehend blueprints. Work initiative;accuracy of material and supply orders; creativity to make temporary repairsand fabrication of parts when necessary. Protective service, publicrelations aptitudes, communication skills, safety conscious, clerical accuracy,observant, empathetic and understanding, mechanically inclined; able tocontrol emergency, crisis and stressful situations; independentthinking/sound judgment.

One (1) year experience in general maintenance. Highschool diploma required.
