Community Health Systems Ultrasound Technologist - FT Days in Kirksville, Missouri
Performs diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data. Schedules and coordinates tests, records test results, and prepares and maintains operational logs. Follows all HIPAA. Calibrates and maintains equipment and orders supplies when needed. Require registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or equivalent registry. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Must possess a basic working knowledge of computers and basic office software. Should be comfortable working with digital information systems. Must be able and willing to work holidays, weekends and available to take call as needed. Must maintain current CPR certification. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager.
Requires a two year allied health degree or successful completion of an approved one-year program in Ultrasound Technology. Position requires registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or equivalent registry. Prefer at least 2 years of experience in the field.
