Community Health Systems Director of Pharmacy in Lancaster, South Carolina
Under the direction of theAssistant Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Pharmacy is responsible foroverseeing the direction, supervision and coordination of all pharmacy servicesfor the hospital. Ensures department compliance in accordance with establishedcorporate, hospital and department policies and procedures. Responsible foroverseeing pharmacy services including, but not limited to, inpatient services,outpatient pharmacy and other clinical programs. Continually looks forcost-savings and clinical opportunities as it relates to drug usage.Coordinates all performance improvement activities including, but not limitedto, adverse drug reaction (ADR) reviews, medication usage evaluation (MUE),quarterly performance improvement monitoring, etc. Responsible for maintainingcollaborative relationships with medical staff and other clinical and supportdepartments to ensure the smooth operation of pharmacy services.
Graduate from Collegeof Pharmacy, Pharmacy Degree (PharmD) or ASHP Residency with Masters preferred
Minimum of 3-5 yearsof recent experience in acute care hospital pharmacy, preferably as Director ofPharmacy or equivalent experience as Assistant Director of Pharmacy withprogressive management responsibilities.
Computer proficiencywith basic working computer knowledge and experience with Meditech, Word, Exceland Lotus Notes
