Community Health Systems Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Services - PRN - Variable in Lancaster, South Carolina
The Registered Nurse is responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating nursing care given toan assigned group of patients during specific periods of time, utilizing the nursing process. Responsible for providingquality patient care according to established patient standards and practice. Demonstrates behavior consistent with theprofessional nursing role.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current state Registered Nurse license; or eligible for immediate state license.
Maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) Certification.
Maintain a current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
Maintain a current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification.
Current CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) National Certification, preferred.
Minimum one year experience as a nurse required.
Able to meet physical and sensory requirements of job.
Able to successfully complete orientation of job performance.
Able to meet health standards for hospital employment.
Preferred cardiac experience

-Unit-specific experience or training as approved by Unit Director.
-Must possess ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public.
-Must be able to follow directions and to perform work according to department standards when no directions are given.
-Requires enthusiasm, initiative and the ability to work independently/cooperatively with other managers.
-Requires the ability to function effectively in fast-paced environment with multiple demands/deadlines.
-Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress.
-Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions and document care given in English.
-Requires the ability to effectively plan and organize.
-Must have knowledge and understanding of the entire aging process.
