The Community Relations manager serves as the Senior Circle Advisor and is responsible for the daily operations of MountainView s Senior Circle Program, while also supporting hospital marketing and business development initiatives.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and grow the Senior Circle program as outlined by Senior Circle Association and provide daily, hands-on management for entire Senior Circle program.

  • Provide support and work in collaboration with the Marketing and Gift Shop team

  • Represent the department in the absence of the Marketing Director

  • Assists the Director of Marketing with all internal and external events.

  • Will help conduct inventory in the Marketing department and the hospital Gift Shop

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute hospital participation in community events and health fairs

Summary:

The Senior Circle Advisor leads and grows aSenior Circle chapter that promotes health, wellness and lifestyle opportunities for adults age 50 and better, and at the same time, positions MountainView Regional Medical Center and its affiliated physicians as healthcare providers of choice.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  1. Develop an annual plan (recruitment & retention & key service line promotion) and budget.

  2. Meet or exceed annual total active membership goal (recruitment and retention.)

  3. Plan, organize, and implement communications and activities to generate and sustain membership, participation and retention; to support hospital business and marketing goals; and to increase positive PR for the hospital.

  4. Design & implement activities that meet Senior Circle Association (SCA) standards, support the hospital s business plan, and are personalized to local members preferences.

  5. Publish & mail a Quarterly Circle News newsletter with a 3-month calendar of events.

  6. Mail Senior Circle membership cards and Senior Circle membership handbook

  7. Negotiate, manage and promote local merchant discount program.

  8. Ensure standard in-hospital benefits are provided consistently to members.

  9. Market Senior Circle internally and externally via comprehensive & creative marketing mediums, including community newsletter, employee newsletter and orientations, news releases & PSAs, voice on-hold messages, advertising, hospital website, speaker s bureau engagements, etc.

  10. Promote positive relationships by applying customer relations standards.

  11. Use SC program components to support physician satisfaction & volumes.

  12. Develop and manage Senior Circle Ambassador program.

  13. Promote local and national benefits and resources.

  14. Keep CEO and Director of Marketing updated on chapter progress and ROI

  15. Provide requested information to SCA national.

  16. Submit articles, photos and other information for national Inside Circle magazine.

  17. Maintain required member records, reports and files.

  18. Process applications accurately and timely

  19. Maintain proficiency with member database (AS400)

Comply with other SCA guidelines and position expectations

Qualifications

Education:

  • Required: a degree in business, marketing, public relations, education or related field

Experience:

  • Preferred: 3-5 years of experience working in community or public relations or adult education

  • Preferred: Graphic design skills

  • Preferred: Ability to speak Spanish
