The Food & Nutrition Services Dietary Aide is responsible for assisting in assembling and delivering food for patient trays. Cleans and sanitizes equipment and surfaces in the Food and Nutrition Services area. Provides production information for Cook prior to meal preparation. Reports to Hospital Dietitian.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Desirable characteristics include previous food service experience.

  • Cooking experience preferred

  • Ability to work responsibilities that differ from shift to shift.

  • Ability to reason and make good judgment calls.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively.Must be able to read and write, perform mathematical calculations.

  • Use of manual dexterity to include skillful use of hands and fingers.

  • Must be capable of working long hours as applicable.

  • Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress.
