Community Health Systems Part Time - Speech Pathologist in Marion, Illinois
The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for providing service to outpatient, inpatient, swing bed and home health patients who have speech and language problems. The therapy is provided under the direction of the attending physician by the speech therapist with participation by the family, nurse and other responsible persons if necessary. Speech therapists may supervise activities of home health aides if the speech therapist is the only skilled discipline involved.
Graduate from an accredited school with a Master s Degreein Communication Disorders & Sciences required.
One or more years of experience is preferred, new graduates acceptable. Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures is preferred. Excellent communication, organization and teaching skills are required.
Must maintain a current State of Illinois Speech Language Pathologist license. Must possess current card from the American Heart Association for Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
