Primaryresponsibility is the front-line management of pharmacy services, bothoperational and clinical practice, with direct leadership of Pharmacy ClinicalServices, including decentralized pharmacy practice, medication use systems,and patient-centered pharmacy services provided to hospital strategic businessunits and related specialty patient care areas. Manages the integration ofclinical pharmacy services, drug utilization programs, and pharmacy operationsthroughout the institution. Ensures medication use is aligned withevidence-based best practices and regulatory standards by directly managingmedication safety systems, regulatory compliance initiatives, patient qualityservices, and disease outcomes programs. Actively functions as a member of clinicalpharmacy practice and interdisciplinary teams and proficiently delivers directpatient care, integrated operational services, pharmacist interventions, andmedication therapy management to patients with a broad range of disease states.Directs the activities of pharmacists who work within assigned areas andoversees day-to-day staffing and pharmacist coverage of patient care servicelines and care areas. Provides education to staff, develops and enforcesinstitutional policies, and initiates development plans or corrective action asneeded and in collaboration with other managers. Actively manages human,capital, and operational resources to collaboratively support patient careservices, medication safety systems, regulatory compliance initiatives, and qualityassurance programs throughout the Department of Pharmacy. Actively participatesin outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintainingrelationships that are equally respectful to all.

Qualifications

  • ·Pharm.D. credentialed. ASHP Accredited Residency PGY1 and PGY2 preferred.

  • ·Minimum five years of hospital pharmacy coodinator and/or management experience required or clinical rotations as required to fulfill residency educational component.

  • ·Licensed in The State of Florida
