Thisposition contributes to the mission of the medical center and is responsiblefor supervisory coverage of the Nursing Department, other patient care areas,and the hospital in general (during off hours). Responsibilities require knowledge of hospital and nursing policies andprocedures, allowing independent judgment in their interpretation. The Administrative Nursing Supervisor dutiesinclude provision of managerial and clinical links with the Director and/orAdministrator on Call in the absence of the department Director. In addition, this position serves as theadministrative resource for physicians, staff, patients, and visitors as itpertains to Organizational policies.
·Graduateof an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
·At leastfive (5) years acute care RN experience required; management experiencepreferred. Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills, experience. Basic computer skills, effective communication,demonstrated compassion, excellent time management and problem solving skills.
·Current FLRN License; current BLS and ACLS. Certification in ANCC Nursing Administration preferred.
