Community Health Systems Instructor (RN)-PRN-Southside Regional Medical Center Professional Schools in Petersburg, Virginia
Develop, implement, and evaluate the philosophy and objectives of the nursing program; design, implement teach, evaluate and revise the curriculum. Develop and evaluate student admission, progression, retention and graduation policies within the framework of the School and controlling institution. Actively participate in advisement and academic counseling of students enrolled in the program. Provide opportunities for student, graduate and employer evaluation of the curriculum, instruction, and program effectiveness; analyze data to guide improvement in the program.
Actively participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Systematic Evaluation Plan for the Nursing Program. Maintains the professional practice knowledge base needed to instruct learners in evidence based nursing practice.
Reports to Director, Nursing Program
Baccalaureate Degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
2 years experience as a registered nurse in a clinical practice environment
Mastery of principles and practice of nursing and adult education
Computer literacy; competency with audiovisual equipment
Master s in Nursing
PhD or DNP in Nursing
Holds and maintains current, unrestricted license to practice nursing in theCommonwealthofVirginiaor Compact Licensure Agreement.
Current in Healthcare Provider BLS (within last 2 years & renewable every 2 years per American Heart Association Standards
- ACLS and/or PALS
