Community Health Systems Registration Clerk - PRN - Rotating Shifts in Ponca City, Oklahoma

Description:

Responsible for registration of patients. Introduces self to patient and explains what their purpose to serve the patient is. Gathers demographic data from the patient to register them for treatment. Gathers financial data for billing purposes and collects amounts due at time of registration. Always asks the patient if there is something else they can do for them when they have completed the registration process. . Complete requested forms, and obtain signatures. Explains hospital s financial policy. Distributes information to required hospital departments.

Employees must observe professional ethics in maintaining confidential information acquired regarding personal, financial, medical or employment of patients, families, and employees of PCMC. Must follow and enforce accepted safety practices for patients and PCMC. Must report hazards and initiate appropriate action. Must participate in safety instructional programs.

Qualifications

Education:High school diploma or GED equivalent education.

Experience:Knowledge of medical terminology. Good typing and computer skills. Flexible schedule.

Skills:PC skills or applicable computer experience.
