Summary: The AssociateISSystem Administrator implements and supports facility and regionalSystems, and is a technical resource responding to incidents and requestsreported to the Service Desk. The AssociateISSystem Administrator resolves issues and implements complex technicalsolutions. The AssociateISSystem Administrator will work together with the System Administrator indeveloping and maintaining strong, positive working relationships with appropriatecustomer departments. In addition, to assure that the systems are operating,used properly, and are performing according to specifications.

EssentialDuties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a current inventory of all computer related equipment,including serial numbers, models, purchase dates, repair dates, etc. Maintainsa current list of users on network and on the Iseries, including all IPaddresses and software usage.

  • Maintains and documents all problems, resolutions and other pertinentinformation. Responds and resolves hardware problems in a timely manner.

  • Installs and repairs all computer and peripheral equipment, utilizingcorporate support and manufacturer support. Installs software packages in atimely and accurate manner. Assists with the installation of communicationssoftware and hardware as needed.

  • Provides on-call support during non-scheduled hours (according toon-call rotation schedule) to assist departments with hardware and softwareproblems.

  • Maintains software registration forms and/or licensure information.

  • Maintains familiarities with different information systems throughoutthe facility.

  • Maintaining the Service desk queue, assigning tickets , answering andresolving support calls

  • Makes recommendations concerning all systems/hardware.

  • Promotes system security and patient confidentiality and helps ensurecompliance.

  • Participates with peers within the corporate communities to identify andevaluate best practices, packaging and promoting cross-region best practiceefforts. Coordinates the sharing of best practice models, and policies &procedures related systems.

  • Participatesin activities to improve departmental and organizational performance.

  • Exhibitsa professional appearance and behavior at all times.

  • Communicates,cooperates and performs other duties as needed or required with other IT staffand members of hospital staff in a courteous and efficient manner to achieveoverall goals and objectives.

  • Adheresto safety regulations and maintains a safe, organized environment at all times.

  • Basic skills - able to perform basic mathematical calculations, balance and reconcile figures, punctuate properly, spell correctly and transcribe accurately

Computer Skills:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software, Spreadsheet software and E-mail software

To demonstrate knowledge and experience in:

  • Understanding in Server virtualization and hypervisors (VMware vSphere)

  • Configure, maintain and troubleshoot server hardware and software technologies

  • Windows Server (Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, NTFS Permissions)

  • Information Storage and Management (Storage Devices, Backup, Archive and Restoration)

  • TCP/IP, Ethernet and Wireless networking , Print Services

  • IP telephony moves, adds and changes (CS 1000 PBX)

  • Intermediate AS400 knowledge

Certificates and Licenses:

  • A certification;

  • Network certification;

  • MCP;

  • MCSE.

Education/Experience:

  • Associate's degree (A. A.). In addition, Bachelor's degree (B.S. or B.A.) from four-year College or University and/or six months to one year related experience and/or training preferred.

  • Must have 4 years IT experience in a similar role

  • Health Care experience preferred.
