Community Health Systems Site Leader - Full Time 1.0 FTE - Physicians Health Alliance - Clarks Summit in Scranton, Pennsylvania

The site leader is an active member of the healthcare team working with staff and physicians to ensure excellent patient care and satisfaction.

Duties include:

  1. Oversees employees and documents disciplinary problems

  2. Review physician schedules to ensure accuracy and anticipate scheduling problems and maintaining the scheduling template and physicians schedules.

  3. Reports on and implements any new office policies or mandates/updates provided by insurance carriers or government regulations as they relate to their departments.

  4. Assists in hiring process and selecting replacement personnel; facilitates the training and orientation of new personnel.

  5. Responsible for the overall work assignments and daily operations. Prepare employees work schedule, maintains appropriate staffing levels, and works with the Operations Manager to assist with staffing assignments between sites, as needed.

  6. Supervises and maintains the continued smooth flow of patients.

  7. Maintain and requisition supplies when needed for department following the purchasing guidelines.

  8. Responsible to maintain working order of all the office equipment including computer systems and procedures to allow smooth and efficient operation of the practice. Be able to operate and instruct others in the use of common office machines (and willing to use new machines, etc). Notify appropriate personnel or Manager for repair or replacement of equipment.

  9. Maintain time and attendance cards for each employee in their department according to human resource guidelines; Review and authorize employee time cards according to payroll guidelines.

  10. Complete physician reimbursement paperwork for dues, memberships, and CMEs, and forward all re-credentialing forms to the appropriate administrative credentialing personnel.

  11. Conducts monthly staff meetings and attends combined site leader meetings and other required meetings on a regular basis

  12. Fills in staffing gaps by providing coverage to office as needed.

Qualifications

Must be an LPN with valid license or CERTIFIED medical assistant

2 years of supervisory/management experience required

Previous experience working in a medical office required

Experience using computer applications such as an Electronic Medical Record and Microsoft Office
