Community Health Systems Provider Relations Rep in Springdale, Arkansas

Description:

Maintains and updates the ProviderDatabase and Provider Directory. Communicates network updates to contractedpayors, networks, and clients. Provides Marketing Department with updatedwebsite network changes. Coordinates and follows new provider networkparticipation requests from initial pre-application to contract execution,working with the Credentialing Department. Works to identify and fillspecialty needs in the network. Monitors the service area for possiblenew providers in continued network development. Audit contracted payorsand networks for accurate listing of network. Responds to provider/payorinquiries and ensures they are managed to a successful conclusion. Creates and maintains a positive working relationship with payors,brokers/agents, and provider representatives, meeting with themperiodically. Creates and distributes network updates as needed toproviders. Provide quality service to clients, providers, andpayors. Will help identify, solve, and follow through on administrativeproblems and issues arising from PremierCare participation in managed careplans. Assist with PremierCare special projects as required. Ableto work independently with minimal supervision in the performance of job duties.

Qualifications

Five yearsexperience providing customer service in a healthcare environmentpreferred. Intermediate knowledge and technical proficiency in the use ofMicrosoft Office applications, which will include Outlook, Access, Excel, andWord additionally, applicant should have three to five years experience inbusiness communications and correspondence. Applicants should have goodorganizational skills, knowledge of health system policies, procedures,systems, and be aware of healthcare administrative practices. Candidatesshould be familiar with fee schedules, and reimbursement systems. Goodclient communication skills are required to be effective in this position andthe candidate should have good arithmetic skills. The applicant will alsobe required to have excellent data entry skills.

Requires a highschool diploma and 3-5 years of related experience. Has knowledge ofcommonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
