Key responsibilities ofthis role include:

  • Performdiagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment to locate,evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data

  • Schedule andcoordinate tests, records test results, and prepares and maintains operationallogs

  • Calibrate andmaintain equipment and orders supplies when needed

  • May requireregistration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers(ARDMS)

  • Familiar withstandard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relieson limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

  • Works undergeneral supervision and typically reports to a chief technologist or manager


Key qualifications to be considered for this include:

  • Requires a two year allied health degree

  • Successful completion of an approved one-year program in Ultrasound Technology

  • 2 years of experience in the field
